We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our team. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for assisting with the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for our operations.
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Pay rate: $19-$21p/h
Schedule: AM shift
Duties:
- Places orders in a timely manner for materials, parts, and equipment using the right quantities at the right cost.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise
- Solicits and evaluates proposals for materials
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and specifications
- Maintain timely control of orders, shipping notices, and other documents.
- Monitor orders, making sure that were delivered on schedule at a negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders as needed
- Support production planning by ensuring availability of necessary materials
- Perform other duties assigned
Experience:
- 1 -2 years of related experience
- Must be able to speak English. Spanish is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) concepts is a plus
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
-Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
